Disable Chrome App on Windows

ok - i had the misfortune of clicking the "Relaunch Chrome In windows 8" button the other day whilst in my chrome browser.  This brought me into a google only environment in which i couldn't use any other software.  Luckily the rescue was quite easy.

Select the chrome icon - strangely this didnt bring me into chrome then i had to click the chrome icon.  Once this loaded chrome (in windows mode) i clicked the hamburger menu and selected the bottom option. "Relaunch Chrome on the desktop"

  After that all was well.
