How to open a sky remote control ?

Its not something you have to do very often but yesterday i had the misfortune of having to open a sky remote to put new batteries in - after several exasperating attempts i was struck by a sudden flashback that id been here before. The minutes on the match were also ticking away as the sweat began to build. A sudden anger came over me as i recalled breaking several buttons on remotes over the years with the same problem.
