Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component

Really annoying fault so deleted files here - then did a shut down of visual studio 2010 - this appeared to do the trick
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplatesCache
Apparenly the fault is to do with caching.
